Odd one out reasoning questions give you four or five items of which all but one share a property, and ask for the exception. How to use this set
The 15 questions below are ordered the way an exam block is rather than easiest-first: two gentle openers, then a run of medium, and a hard one every sixth question — 2 of the 15 sit in the hard band. The set mixes classification (odd one out) and letter classification, in the round-robin the paper itself sets rather than one form at a time.

Where these questions come from
Most free practice for this topic is a scanned upload or a blog quiz, and neither can tell you a question has exactly one answer. That is the one thing this set can promise: it is minted, not typed. FAQ
What if two options both look like the odd one?
Then the property you found is not the intended one. Look for a second property that the other four share and the candidate does not. A well-set question has exactly one exception under exactly one property, so two apparent answers always means the property is wrong.
How do letter classification questions work?
Convert each group to alphabet positions and read the gaps. Groups like BDF, JLN and PRT share the gap pattern 2-2; the odd one breaks it. Trying to see the pattern in the letters themselves is far slower and much less reliable than writing the numbers.
Are odd one out questions worth attempting first?
Usually yes. They need no diagram and no casework, so they run around twenty seconds each and bank marks early. The exception is a set built on obscure general knowledge, where no amount of reasoning helps — leave those rather than spending a minute on one mark.
